You cannot download files to your phone.

You cannot upload these files and use them through the Bambu mobile app.

You can ONLY download files to a computer.

After purchase, the digital files will populate on your screen, as well as be emailed to you.

You will receive a "Download Link" PDF. Open the PDF and click the download button at the bottom.

Once in the Google Drive, you will download the files to your computer. If you need help with doing this, there is a "Download Instructions"PDF included with your files. Please open it and follow the directions.

You cannot open the files from the Google Drive. They must be downloaded to your computer.

Make sure to double click to unzip the folder or right click "extract" once downloaded to your computer.

Having issues downloading?

The links have all been tested and 100% work.

Make sure your popup blocker is off.

If you are still unable to download, you will need to Google your computer type and issues with downloading from Google Drive. I do not provide one-on-one support for computer issues.

What is the difference between Patreon and Thangs and why do I offer subscriptions on both?

Patreon:

You will access files through a Google Drive link each month.

The VIP tier is the only option.

Thangs:

It's similar to Patreon, but specifically designed for 3D print files. 

What do you get? 

Based on which tier you choose, you will have credits to download the files that you want from each months file drops.

The VIP tier gives you access to all files, just like the VIP tier on Patreon.

Terms & Conditions

You will have commercial rights to sell physical prints while subscribed. Your rights to sell prints from my files are terminated upon cancellation.  

You only have access to the files released during the months you are subscribed. 

Any file purchases made on my website will include a commercial license that does not expire.

The subscription service is not meant to be a "cheat" to subscribe, gain access to files, and then unsubscribe. As stated above, you are NOT allowed to sell prints from my files unless you remain subscribed or purchase the files on my website. 

This is especially true for any can holder files released. Unless you plan to sell my files on a regular basis, it is more cost effective to purchase the files on my website.

Every design is personally test printed before being released for sale. Many of these designs are also sold as finished physical products, so every file has been verified to print successfully before it’s made available for purchase.

Because every printer, filament, slicer, and user setup is different, results may vary from one machine to another.

Some designs also include recommended print settings. When applicable, these settings are provided in the product description and/or the included Google Drive folder. For example, many of my can opener files include tested support settings to help achieve the best results.

The Makers Edit is a small, independently owned business. In order to continue creating and testing new designs, support is focused on issues with the design files themselves rather than printer-specific troubleshooting.

I do not provide one-on-one support for:

• General 3D printing instruction

These topics depend on your specific printer, slicer, filament, and experience level.

Every design is personally test printed before release. I provide working design files, but I do not provide one-on-one printer or slicer support.

Common issues:

Parts don’t fit together

If parts fit correctly on my test prints but not on yours, the design is usually not the cause. The issue is often related to printer calibration or print settings.

Common causes include:

• Elephant’s foot
• Bulging or over-extrusion
• Incorrect flow rate
• X/Y dimensional inaccuracies
• First layer expansion

Checking these items usually resolves fitment issues.

My print quality doesn’t look right

If your print quality is inconsistent, the issue is usually printer or filament calibration rather than the design.

Common causes include:

• Flow rate
• Pressure advance
• Temperature
• Wet filament
• "Random" seam alignment
• Print speed
• Arachne vs. Classic wall generator

Incorrect flow rate can cause:

• Parts not fitting
• Bulging
• Poor top surfaces
• Rough walls
• Poor print quality

Should I use Arachne or Classic?

Both wall generators produce valid prints, but some models may print better with one than the other.

Arachne can improve thin walls and fine details but may occasionally affect part fitment or wall consistency. For example, the ghost coozie works best with Arachne.

Classic produces more consistent wall widths and may improve fitment on some models.

If you’re experiencing fitment or wall quality issues, try switching between Arachne and Classic to see which produces better results on your printer.

My print won’t stick to the bed

This is generally related to printer setup rather than the design.

Things to check include:

• Clean build plate
• First layer height
• Bed temperature
• Nozzle temperature
• Bed leveling
• Adhesion settings

Supports are difficult to remove

Support removal varies by printer, slicer, filament, and support settings.

Common causes include:

• Support interface settings
• Z distance
• Support density
• Support type
• Filament settings

Adjusting these settings usually improves support removal.

The top surface is not smooth

If the top of your print is rough or has gaps, the issue is usually print settings rather than the design.

Common causes include:

• Inadequate top layers
• Incorrect flow rate
• Layer height
• Nozzle size
• Moist filament

Checking these items usually improves top surface quality.

My print looks stringy

If your print has strings or wisps between parts, the issue is usually printer settings rather than the design.

Common causes include:

• Wet filament
• Retraction settings
• Nozzle temperature
• Print speed
• Filament quality

Checking these items usually resolves stringing.
